April 10th & 11th presented KWR with another opportunity to report on events at Yakima Speedway. We hauled the entire KWR staff on a trip west to report on the Apple Cup 2010. Yakima has become one of our favorite venues to report on racing a very press friendly atmosphere, the Yakima staff always goes out of their way to accomidate us. Both Steve and I have a ball working every imaginable angle from the pits to the back stretch. This year made it even more enjoyable swapping stories with fellow photographer Jerry Nelson in between shots. The racing itself of course was awesome, with full fields from the pure stocks and super streets. Late model entries were light, 12 fielded race ready.What they lacked in numbers was more then made up in talent represented. We are still amidst media edits but have a few of the shorter races under wrap. Look for more to come on this storysupported by our media later this week.
