Greetings, Race Fans!
Here's the latest news for April 20th, 2010:
The Operator Agreement was signed at 3pm today by the Commissioners of Spokane County....YAY!!! That's the good news.
The not so good news:
We will not be able to run on May 7th and 8th, which was previously mentioned as a Test n Tune day. Repairs are still taking place and we have come to realize we will not be ready for that weekend.
Not to worry....here's the GREAT NEWS:
Our new opening weekend is slated for May 21st, with our first Friday Night Street Legal Drags, followed by our Welcome Spokane Bracket Bash scheduled for the next day, Saturday May 22nd. You are the first to hear this announcement! Saturday the 22nd will be a 'Family Fun Day' with discounted entry fees, admission and great concession prices!! Car and driver will be $25, General Admission will be only $8 and kids 12 and under are FREE!!! We will have a fun zone for the kids and musical entertainment as well. Both Charlie Allen and Ron Hodgson will be here, along with my favorite NHRA official, Steve Gibbs...so you KNOW the track will be good!
We will be running all of our regular ET Bracket Classes; Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Bike/Sled, Trophy, Sport Compact Pro, Sport Compact Sportsman and JR Dragsters, along with the Spokane Pro Gas Association! Make your plans now to join us on our opening weekend...we cannot wait to see you there! I would like to ask all of you to forward this email on to everyone you know; you can help us get the word out! I appreciate everyone's kind emails and offers of help...this is how you can help us the most. Tell your friends and family to join us and help put Spokane County Raceway back on the map!!
